Blurred Classrooms

Via OpenArchitectureNetwork, a new look at classrooms:

The classroom is NOT a box, it is a learning environment. Traditionally, the school building is an industrial package of these boxes efficiently put together. The mission statement of The Blurred Classroom is to unfold, unpack the box – and blur the lines of how the classroom is traditionally known.

Pulled from here, more fabulous ideas here.

How do we build a learning space into what had originally been a living or manufacturing space? How do we create best creative flow, an overlap of people and their ideas, into the buildings which in the past were explicitly sectioned?
