Piano Demolition & Scavenging Cool Parts

Howdy do JR community!

As some of you may or may not know, I am soon to be moving out of my current location and have a deralicted piano that I will not be able to bring with me.  Instead of just having it hauled off, I am going to be scrapping it for parts (if it could ever be a “real piano” again, I would happily donate it to JR, but the plate is cracked and if I’m not going to be practicing tuning on it, it just needs to be put out of it’s misery), and what better way to build community than to destroy something!  There are certain parts that I am interested in salvaging myself—soundboard, all the plate screws/nuts/bolts, all the screws/nuts/bolts out of the action, the keyboard—but aside from that everything else is fair game for your projects/art/furnishings/

whatever your fancy!  Things that would be left—the plate itself (a very large piece of iron) which we could shatter with a sledge or someone could take it whole, the hardwood of the case, other action parts, tuning pins, old strings, and more wild and crazy hardware!

When you ask?  What a delightful question.  An afternoon/evening in mid/late Mach would be the best time for me, and Thursday the 18th of March jumps to mind.  What we need from you?  Your muscle, screwdrivers, wrenches, possibly some other demo tools if you so desire, and one big ass hammer.  So come one and all to the piano destruction extraordinaire!

Howdy do!
I’m pumped for this, disregard the proposed date near the bottom of March 18th.  The official day is as listed above, March 21.
Aces,
