By now you’ve probably heard a rumor that there will be a little masquerade ball fundraiser, Dance of the Second Dawn: The Makers’ Masquerade, at Jigsaw Renaissance this Saturday evening from 6-10pm.

It’s true!

The band, 6 Minutes ’til Midnight, will be performing. Rob Jellinghaus will present his Holofunk with 2 player support. We’ll have beer, wine, platters of food catered by Metropolitan Market, some danceable non-live music, atmosphere, and you in your finest DIY mask and attire!

Because of the alcohol, this event is 21+ and IDs will be checked at the door. Please be prepared to lift your mask for the door person to verify your identity if requested.

Ticket prices are $20 for Jigsaw members and $25 for non-members, pre-sale at this link: http://seconddawn.bpt.me/

Tickets at the door will be $30 at the door.

Note: If you’re a member and you’ve already paid $25, let me know and I will refund your additional $5 (or you may choose to donate it to Jigsaw Renaissance, your choice).

Entrance to the event will be through the westernmost front doors. It’ll be obvious: look for the flashing EL wire mask!

What’s still needed:

  • Whatever ideas you have for how you’d like to contribute to your Jigsaw Renaissance Masquerade Ball Fundraiser!

  • More Masqueraders! Please help us get the word out!

Specific ways to get involved:

  • Heavy lifting! There’s a keg of Manny’s Pale Ale to load into the Kegerator on Friday around 1pm. Anyone available on Friday afternoon who knows anything about the Kegerator?

  • More heavy lifting! There are several large furniture items that need to be relocated into the co-working room as neatly as possible so they can continue to co-work if they choose to. And on Sunday the random furniture will need to be relocated back into the large room.

  • Hospitality! Want to help keep the refreshment table looking fresh? Have pretty bowl we can pour chips into? Have an unopened bag of your favorite chips you’d like to add to the mix?

  • Photography! We’d love to have a ‘photo booth’ where attendees can get their picture taken and then the images could be shared online for fun and to help promote Jigsaw and future events.

  • Performance! Have something you want to share with your community? There are spots during the band’s breaks.

If you would like to contribute to the event in any of the ways mentioned above or have an idea of what you would like to bring/do/share/add, please let us know so we can plan it into the overall logistics.

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday evening!
